IERAPETRA.
Ierapetra is the biggest city of the south of Crete, but also
the most southern city of Crete, Greece and Europe!
Ierapetra
is situated at 36 km. from Agios Nikolaos and has a nice sandy
beach in the lengthening of the boulevard. In the close
neighbourhood are to be find some quiet beaches. Worth seeing
are the archaeological
museum, the Venetian Kastro and the Afendis Christos church.
In Ierapetra was located the hotel/brothel of "madame
Hortense",
famous from the book of Kazandzakis:
Zorba the Greek.
