Lentas
LENDAS. Lentas is a village at the south coast of central Crete.
It is a beautiful village at the Lybian sea. Its is not touristy,
only some backpack-tourists and day trip people have found this
place. There are some nice, typically Cretan, taverns and rooms
to let. The lemonade factory "Lenta" has moved to the
village Miamou at the top of the mountain. The road from
Gortys to Lentas goes behind the village
of
Plátanos along the olive yards
until the road reaches the barren area of the Asteroussia
mountains. The higher you come, the more beautiful is your view
to the sea.
Once a day there is a bus connection to Iraklion, via Agii
Deka.
