Sitia
SITIA. Sitia is a
nice little city at the north east coast of Crete, at about 70
kilometres from Heraklion. Its a
lovely place to spent your holidays. Beautiful beaches, nice
hotels, friendly
people. At the west side of the city are ruins of a castle which
where built in Byzantine times. In the
archaeological Museum of Sitia you can view founds of excavations
from Sitia, Zakro and Paliokastro
from the Minoan period.
