CHERSONISSOS.
This touristy sea side place at the north coast of Crete is called
actually Limin (harbour)
Chersonísou, but is better known as Chersonissos.
This "village" lies 25 km. east from
Iraklion and
is one of the biggest tourist centres of Crete. The real village
of Chersonissos is situated more interior. In earlier days Límin
Chersonísou was a quiet romantic fishing village, nowadays it
is a party-village with hotels, apartments, shops, bars, disco's,
taverns and restaurants. The beach at the west of the fishing
harbour is during summertime crowded, one can rent anything for
fun at the beach. The easterly beach is pretty narrow.
