AGIA PELAGIA. The seaside village Agia
Pelagia is situated at a bay, 20 km west from
Iraklion.
Because of the wonderful location and the beautiful sandy beach
is this place beloved by many tourists. In origin Agia Pelagia
was a fishing village, but it turned into a friendly touristplace
with many hotels and restaurants near the beach. In the village
you can find rooms to let. The bus from Rethymnon stops at
the main road, but from there it takes a walk of three kilometres
to Agia Pelagia along a rather steep road.
Agia Pelagia is well equiped with watersports fascilities;
you can go for water-skiing,
parasailing
or take a boattrip.
