Phaistos
- Festos
FESTOS or PHAISTOS is after Knossos the most famous palace
from the ancient times. It was built 4000 years B.C. at the hill
in the heart of
the Messara valley. This city was in Minoan times the regional
centre of the whole south of Crete. The king of Phaistos,
Radamanthos, was, according to the myths, the brother of King
Minos.
