Preveza Epirus Greece
PREVEZA. The prefecture of Preveza in the southwest of Epirus has endless beaches and crystal-clear waters. Preveza city is the capital city of the prefecture Preveza and is built at the entrance of the Amvrakikos Gulf. The wealth of the wider Preveza region lies in its fabulous monuments, as well as its cultural heritage. The region includes a considerable number of nature protected areas like 29 Natura 2000 and a Ramsar site (Amvrakikos Gulf). The coastal biotopes (the Delta of Kalamas and Aheron, the Kalodiki marsh and Amvrakikos Gulf) host rare species of birds like the silver pelican.
