Pella. Lying at the utmost ends of Northern Greece, between massive and a fertile land, a borderer and a cultural resource, Pella constitutes the essence of the beauty of Greek nature. The heritage of historical moments of the past, tombs and ancient cities on the Egnatia Odos bring back memories and images to the contemporary visitor.
Thermal springs that gush out from the river bed of Agios Nikolaos and a magnificent natural scenery compose the image that the visitor meets in the region of Loutraki and the Municipality of Aridaia.
Thermalism, known even since the Roman years, testifies to the healing and relaxing qualities of the water. The cluster of caves, with evidence of the human presence since the Neolithic period, as well as the eminent gorge of Ramno Bor (Isso Pefko) complement the composition of the landscape.

The waterfalls of Edessa: The waterfalls didn't use to be the same as now. Until the end of the 14th century the main volume of the water was held in a small lake in the west of the town.Then the waters ( perhaps after a geologic or weather phenomenon ) pass through the town and fell thematically from its rock as a result creating many small rivers and at the same time the lake where they were from came to an end. Many travelers of the 17th and 18th century describe the picture of the town with a rock from which water falls creating in this way many waterfalls. Today the waterfalls are a well- known sight of immense beauty in whole Hellas and in the world. The big waterfalls "Karanos" can now safely be admired.The waterfalls from a height of 70m There is also the double waterfalls and the cave next to it. The whole area has been upgraded and offers many facilities to the tourist indicatively, it is reported that the tourist information office is continuously open as well as the open air water museum and in a short time a 5 star hotel and other facilities.

The forest Gavaliotissa: New amphitheatre with 2500 seats at the forest Gavaliotissa 3km.away from Edessa. A nice place for picnics, too. You get there by following the footpath along the railway.

The Ski center Voras: Mount Voras or Kaimaiktsalan (=white mountaintop) is the third highest mountain in Greece (2.524m) and rises majestically along the border. Every year thousand of visitors and skiers visit this modern equipped ski center. The ski resort is about 45 km away from Edessa.

Mount Vermio: Mount Vermio stretches in the Northwestern part of the Prefecture Pella. At the foot of the mountain there is a dense wood of chestnuts, beeches and oaks while on the mountaintop there are firs and pine trees.

Lake Vegoritida: Lake Vegoritida is surrounded by Mount Voras in the North, Mount Vermio in the East, Mount Skopos in the South and in the West by Mount Askio.
