Pserimos. Pserimos is a small island near Kalymnos (4 km) and Kos (3km). It covers an area of 15 sq.km., the highest peak of the island is 268 meters. Pserimos is an excellent island for those who want to enjoy the ultimate peace. There are some deserted beaches where swimming is delightful, you have to walk to get there since there are no roads on the island.
If you want to stay at Pserimos we advise you to book in advance, as there are few accommodations. All these accommodations are in the only village of Pserimos, this village is also supposedly the capital of Pserimos and it is also the place where the natural harbor is located.
There live here about 50 people mainly engaged in fishing and tourism. The sandy beach in the village is excellent, there are a few nice cafes, taverns and seafood restaurants. There are also a number of mini markets and souvenir shops.
In the summer, the island is visited every day by tourists by boats from Kos and Kalymnos. Administratively, Pserimos belongs to Kalymnos and the children who live here have to divert to the schools of Kalymnos and Kos. A primary school is also not there because here live a few children. There is a private teacher who teaches these children.
