Ano Meria. Ano Meria is a village that lies scattered throughout the north west of Folegandros. The houses here are striking and are surrounded by large gardens. Each house is self-sufficient, producing all kinds of crops. In addition to produce, many owners also have goats and sheep.
On the main road are several traditional restaurants. There are also nice cafeterias and rooms for rent, shops, mini markets and a bakery. In Ano Meria is also the anthropological museum of Folegandros that is only open in the evenings.
Ano Meria is located about five kilometers (3 mi) from Chora Folegandros and you can reach it by foot in about 45 minutes. Several times a day the buses from Karavostasis and Chora arrive here.
