Karavostasis. Karavostasis is located in the southeast of the island of Folegandros, about three kilometers (2 mi) from Chora, the capital of the island. This is the port of the island and you'll arrive here if you are island hopping by ferry.
Karavostasis is located in a barren, rocky bay, with a beautiful, sandy, pebble beach. Around the bay are all white houses, most of which are hotels or rooms that are rented to tourists. In Karavostasis you’ll find some taverns, beach bars and cafeterias. Karavostasis is a cute little place where you can relax. During the summer, tourist boats leave Karavostasis for day trips to a variety of distant beaches or to travel around the island.
The church of Aghios Artemios is situated on the beach. One kilometer (less than a mile) south of Karavostasis is the beach Livadi. There is a campsite located here.
