Chivadolimni. Chivadolimni is also called Achivadolimni. It is a seaside resort and also the name of a lake, centrally in the north of the bay of Milos. “Achivas” is a kind of shellfish found in the lake (= limni), hence the name Achivadolimni and Chivadolimni.
The sandy beach of Chivadolimni is very popular. It is located in a scenic bay where pine forests reach the water. The beach is accessible by bus several times a day. It is a popular resort for families with children because the sea here is very shallow. The beach, which is quite large, has umbrellas and sunbeds for hire and there is a bar where drinks and snacks are sold.
The distance to Adamas is about ten kilometers (6 mi). By car you can get here in less than fifteen minutes. On the route from Adamas to Chivadolimni you will see the airport on the left and a large salt lake.
On the first part of the beach it can be very windy, and so this area is popular with surfers and kite surfers. The campsite of Milos is located here.
