Exogi. Exogi is a mountain village in the north of Ithaca. The village is reached via Stavros or via Frikes and Platithrias. The route to Exogi is beautiful and runs through olive groves and pine forests. It is an ancient village dating back to the 18th century. In some traditional houses, the year of construction is engraved on the walls above the door. The houses are built on the slopes of the mountain, overlooking the bay of Afales and the north of Ithaca. The view over the turquoise sea and the white, steep cliffs around the bay is impressive.
In the village there are two churches. The large church of Agia Marina has a blue dome. The other church is at the cemetery, on the other side of the village. Outside the village, in a higher location, is the picturesque Panagia Eleousa monastery with breathtaking beautiful views.
