Kokkari - Samos (Greece)

Kokkari Samos. Kokkari is located on the Greek island of Samos, at ten kilometres northwest of Samos town and it is the most popular resort of the island. It is a picturesque village with an excellent nightlife and a good tourist infrastructure. Kokkari is a nice village with very friendly people and good tavernas, kafeneions and bars.

Those who love swimming will like it here, as there are two beautiful pebble beaches with very clear water. The water at one beach is calm and at the other beach "wild", this has to do with the direction of the wind. Almost all water sports are available here.

In Kokkari “the feast of Saint Panteleimon” is celebrated on July the 27th, with traditional music and dance. Just outside Kokkari there are many nice beaches at the foot of lush mountain slopes. The most famous beaches are Tsamadou, Lemonakia and Tsambou. In Kokkari both cheaper and more expensive accommodations and holidays can be found.
