Makri. Mákri is a village in the prefecture of Evros, in northern Greece. It lies approximately 10 kilometers (6 miles) from Alexandroupolis, the capital of Evros. The vey popular beach of Agia Paraskevi is not far from Makri. Because this region is so close to the city and because there are very beautiful beaches, it is the most popular and busiest resort for both young and old people. Makri is also known for the high quality olive oil produced here.
