Alonissos beaches (Alonissos)

Kokkinokastro literally means red castle. It is the name of a beach located seven kilometers northeast of Patitiri. It is a pebble beach in a bay where on the left you can see the striking red rocks on the high bank. Nearby are the ruins of a hamlet, which is claimed to belong to the ancient city of Ikos.

Chrisi Milia means golden apple tree. The most beautiful beach of Alonissos. This beach is located five kilometers from Patitiri and is surrounded by a green hilly bay and pine forests which reach down to the beach.The sand is red and white. On the beach umbrellas and sun loungers are for hire.

Milia, which lies about a kilometer before Chrisi Milia is also spectacular. The turquoise colour of the sea, the high rocky hills that are full of pine trees and lie strewn around the bay are beautiful. Unlike Chrisi Milia, Milia has a pebble beach.

Tzortzi Gialos is also a pebble beach that is quite popular. Also this beach has the beautiful characteristics of the other surrounding beaches.
