Athinios - Santorini (Greece)

Athinios. Athinios is the larger port of the Greek island of Santorini. This port is near Megalochori. Here, large boats and ferries arrive in Santorini. In this port are many car rental agencies where you can rent cars and scooters, which gives day visitors convenient transportation to their destinations throughout Santorini. In Athinios you’ll also find some taverns and cafeterias. This port is located at an impressive spot, at the bottom of the cliffs of the caldera. When you come to Santorini by boat, you may be transfixed by the impressive view of high, steep cliffs and winding road. The road can occasionally be very busy, especially with the arrival of a boat. Athinios port is connected to Piraeus, Crete and other Aegean islands. At the harbor are travel agencies that sell boat tickets.
