Stoupa. Stoupa is one of the most popular resorts of Messinia in the Peloponnese, Greece. This is the resort where most tourists prefer to come. Stoupa is located in a beautiful area with lots of greenery and beautiful mountains surrounding it. Stoupa has one of the most beautiful and pleasant beaches of Messinia. Around the beach there are plenty of nice terraces.
From Stoupa it is possible to take beautiful walks to various mountain villages. Near the village is the mine of Prestova. This mine was run by the writer Nikos Kazantzakis and Alexis Zorbas (Zorba the Greek) at the beginning of the 20th century.
From Stoupa you can take part in fun tours or create your own car trips. Around Stoupa are lots of nice traditional villages and interesting caves. Between Stoupa and the beach there is a cave which is accessed with a rental boat. A drive to the mountain village Saidona is more than worth the effort. The spectacular view from up there in the mountains is magnificent.
