Agiofili beach. Agiofili is an impressive beach located three kilometres south of Vassiliki, on the island of Lefkada. The characteristics of this beach are the white small pebbles, the turquoise sea and the steep red-white cliffs behind the beach. Previously, the beach of Agiofili was only accessible by boat but now you can get there by car, motorbike or on foot, of course. From Vassiliki runs a narrow dirt road, partly paved to Agiofili beach. There is a paved parking area built 50 meters from the beach. Parking costs € 4 for a full day (prices summer 2016). At the parking lot there is a kiosk and two toilets.
To the beach you walk through stone staircases that are a little further away. The first sight of the beach is impressive! The beautiful contrasting colours of the turquoise sea and the white beach and green bushes on the cliffs are breathtaking. The water is crystal clear, you can see large and small fish swimming. On the beach is a makeshift stall where soft drinks, fresh fruits like kiwi, watermelon, peach are sold and even cocktails are available! In high season it is very busy in Agiofili because daily tourist boats come here with bathers from Nidri for swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing. From Vassiliki every hour a shuttle boat sails to Agiofili.
