Drimiskos. Drimiskos is a small and traditional Cretan village, located seven kilometres from the beach of Preveli, 15 kilometres from the mountain village of Spili and 40 kilometres from Rethymnon city. It is located about four hundred meters above sea-level in the middle of olive groves. Most of the villagers are farmers, but there are also some shepherds. In 2008 after a major fire many residents left the village and went to live in the larger towns or cities.
In the village there is a mini market, a taverna, a bakery and several cafes. There are also rooms and apartments for rent, ideal for people who want to find peace and quiet.
