Achlia. Achlia is a small seaside resort on the south eastern coast of Crete. It lies next to the Libyan sea in the area east of Ierapetra and between Makrigialos and Agia Fotia. Achlia is located in a small bay with pine forests and olive trees. The bay is surrounded by high cliffs. The sandy beach is very nice and the sea is almost always calm here. On the beach umbrellas and sunbeds are available. Behind the beach are a number of taverns and minimarkets.
