Agios Prokopios - Naxos (Greece)

Aghios Prokopios. Aghios Prokopios is located five kilometers (3 mi) southwest of Naxos town (Chora) and along with Agia Anna, one of the most popular resorts on the island of Naxos. Here is where most of the hotels and apartments have been built. Aghios Prokopios owes its popularity to the beautiful golden beach that extends to Agia Anna. Additionally, Aghios Prokopios is popular among the residents of Naxos town because it is nearby, a mere ten minutes by car.

The two kilometers long (just over a mile) beach at Aghios Prokopios, is perfectly organized and there many and various water sports facilities. On the beach, you’ll find trendy beach bars and lively tavernas and cafeterias.

Behind the beach are dunes and some salt lakes that are usually completely dry in summer. Bushes and cedar trees line the edge of the beach and the area behind it.
