Stelida. Stelida is an area on the Greek island of Naxos, south of Naxos town, with many hotels and apartments. It is located near the beach of Aghios Prokopios. Only a short walk separates Stelida and the popular beach of Aghios Prokopios, a beautiful golden beach with all kinds of taverns and beach bars. The big advantage of staying in Stelida is its close proximity to both the beach and Naxos town.
Stelida is situated on a peninsula next to a hill. This hill may be of historical value. Recent research shows that Neanderthals lived here in the caves of the mountain Za during the Paleolithic period. East of Stelida is the Naxos airport, carrying only domestic flights. Lake Aliki is also located here.
