KALA NERA. Kala Nera on the peninsula of Pelion, Greece is a cozy fishing village on the Pagasitic Gulf, 18 kilometers (11 miles) from Volos. The greenery reaches to the crystal clear sea. Kala Nera has a beautiful sandy beach. This village is a favorite holiday destination visited mostly by Greeks.
Kala Nera (Good Waters) is a popular, pleasant seaside resort. The silver poplars, sycamores and eucalyptus trees at the beach are a little oasis during the hot summer afternoons. The abundance and quality of water from many sources at sea have given the village its name. There is a long promenade occupied by taverns with terraces, bars and shops.
