Kaladi. The pebble beach of Kaladi is considered one of the most beautiful beaches of Kythira. It is located south of Paleopoli, about 6 kilometres from Avlemonas. Near Paleopolis is a sign that indicates how to drive to the beach via a dirt road. Parking at the beach is not possible, you have to park the car up the hill and then walk about 150 stone steps down. Down here there are two adjacent bays, in the middle a large rock divides the beach in two. Actually, there are three different beaches where the middle beach is the most visited. To go from one to the other beach you have to walk through the water or by swim there. Here and there are some caves, it is an ideal place for snorkelers. At the last bay you can swim under water in the cave. The clear turquoise sea and the rugged nature are impressive.
