Rachoni. Rachoni is mountain village in the northwest of the island of Thassos in Greece. It is built amphitheatrically on the slopes of a mountain, wright in the middle of a green nature with plenty of running water. It is a traditional village, the houses have a distinctive style with ceramic roofing tiles. Every year on August 15, the feast of the Blessed Mother Mary is celebrated. In Rachoni live about 300 permanent residents. Another traditional village near Rachoni worth a visit is Agios Georgios.
Near Rachoni is the village Skala Rachonis located which is the seaside village of Rachoni.
