Varos. Varos is a traditional small village centrally located in the north of the Greek island of Lemnos. Varos was an abandoned village until a few years ago, when on the top of the hill next to the village, the 5-star resort Varos Village was built. The hotel bought several houses in the village which were completely renovated into luxurious apartments that are part of the concept of 'Varos Village’.
In the village itself, there is not much to do. There is a terrace bar, a cafe and two shops where the shelves are half empty. Good tavernas are three kilometres away, at the harbour of Kotsinas. The benefit of Varos village is that it's fairly centrally located, allowing you within 30 minutes to discover every corner of the island.
