Afionas is a
fantastic village on the top of a mountain near Cape Arila.
The view to the sea is unbelievable fabulous and we advise
you to visit this village when you are in the neighbourhood.
The village is not really that touristic, though we met
foreign families spending their holidays in Afionas. In
Afionas you will find some hotels, apartments, souvenir
shops and some very good tavernas.
The beach on the photo is the beach of Agios Georgios, on
the south of Afionas. The photo was taken from a taverna on
the top of the hill of Afionas.
The view to the north
is what you see on the picture below. On the right is the
beach of Arilas and behind the rocks is Agios Stefanos.
