Kaliviani Chania - Chania Prefecture (Greece)
Kaliviani Chania. Kaliviani is a small, cosy village six kilometers west of the picturesque town of Kastelli (Kissamos) in the province of Chania in the bay of Kissamos. It is located about one kilometer from the beach, there are numbers of bars in the village and there are 2 restaurands. In and around the village, which lies in the middle of olive groves are hotels and apartments where you can stay. It is a quiet village where many walkers spend their holidays. The village is situated in a strategic position you could say, close to two absolute highlights of Crete, namely Falassarna located in western and northern Gramvoussa . Falassarna is from Kaliviani also accessible by car. To get to Gramvoussa, you need good walking shoes or you should sail with a tourist boat. From Kissamos there are boats sailing daily to Gramvoussa in summer.
